This Privacy Policy applies to the Fisherman’s Signal mobile application (“Application”). The Application is provided by Seppe Goffin (“Service Provider”) as a free service and is intended for use as is.
Scope
This Policy explains what information the Application collects, how it’s used, and under what circumstances it may be shared. Some features require data to function (for example, location to show nearby activity). If you do not agree with this Policy, uninstall the Application.
Information Collection and Use
The Application may collect certain information when you download and use it, including:
- Device Internet Protocol (IP) address;
- Pages/screens viewed and time spent in the Application;
- Dates and times of access;
- Operating system and basic device characteristics.
The Service Provider may use this information to operate the Application, improve performance, provide support, send required notices, and—where permitted—marketing communications.
For a better experience, you may be asked to provide personally identifiable information. Such information will be retained and used as described in this Policy.
Location Data
The Application may collect your device’s location to enable features such as personalized content and location‑based services. Location data may be used for:
- Geolocation Services: to deliver relevant in‑app features.
- Analytics and Improvements: aggregated and anonymized location data may help analyze usage and improve functionality.
- Third‑Party Services: anonymized location data may periodically be transmitted to external services that assist with analytics and optimization.
Third‑Party Access & Sharing
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid in improving the Application. Information may be disclosed:
- as required by law (e.g., to comply with subpoenas or similar processes);
- when disclosure is necessary to protect rights, users’ safety, or investigate fraud or abuse;
- to trusted service providers acting on the Service Provider’s behalf and bound by this Policy.

Opt‑Out Rights
You can stop all collection of information by uninstalling the Application using your device’s standard uninstall process or via the application marketplace where you obtained it.

User‑provided data is retained while you use the Application and for a reasonable period thereafter. To request deletion of user‑provided data submitted through the Application, contact support at fishermanssignal.info/support. Reasonable efforts will be made to respond within a reasonable time.
Children’s Privacy
The Application is not directed to children under 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child provided personal information, please contact support so it can be deleted promptly.
Security
Appropriate technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect information processed and maintained by the Service Provider. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Changes to this Policy
This Policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating this page. Continued use of the Application after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Policy.
